Roland Fantom Workstation
I’ll be honest, I’ve not had a chance to get my paws round this yet, but it looks really exciting. Released in September 2019 this is Roland’s latest flagship keyboard / workstation.
Like the FP-90x and the RD 2000 stage pianos this also uses ‘modelling’ for the best piano sounds.
Available with 61 or 76 semi-weighted or 88 keys PHA-50 hammer action keyboard all with after touch.
I love the Roland sounds so I know I’ll love this, although it would be the 76 key semi-weighted version that would appeal to me as a top level board.
This doesn’t appear to have audio tracks on the sequencer like the Kronos, so the Kronos still wins here, but it would make a cracking top level board.
